Esker Hills

Shane Lowry is a member of Esker Hills golf club in county Offaly. Lowry is a native of Offaly, so this course acts as the talented golfer’s home base. Shane Lowry’s 2009 triumph in the Irish Open was nothing short of extraordinary and still holds a special place in our hearts today. The triumph marked a momentous occasion; Lowry became the first amateur to win the open – a remarkable feat. If you enjoy golf, then it’s well worth a visit to play an enjoyable yet challenging course, no matter the weather. You never know – you might spot the man himself!
